Thomas Cook Deflatables

There’s nothing quite like chilling out on a lilo in the sunshine, but the environmental consequences are often the last thing on the minds of Brits heading off on holiday.

Millions of inflatables are discarded by holidaymakers each year. Left behind on beaches or thrown away to landfill, the forgotten inflatables contribute to plastic pollution in the ocean and prove a severe threat to marine wildlife and ecosystems.

Created in partnership with The Marine Conservation Society, the stark images show a dolphin, a turtle and an orca whale deflated and washed up on the beach. A powerful reminder to reduce, reuse or recycle holiday inflatables.
